AP Government Approves Major Infrastructure Projects In Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned 20 major civil works in Amaravati with a total estimated cost of ₹11,467 crore. These projects, sanctioned by the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), aim to boost infrastructure and development in the capital region.

For the development, it has availed itself a loan from World Bank as well as Asian Development Bank. The works that are scheduled include residential apartments for gazetted and non-gazetted officers, IAS officers, MLAs as well as MLCs, along with bungalows that would be built for the judges, ministers as well as senior IAS officers. Its works also include Secretariat towers, an Assembly building as well as other infrastructures within the government complex.

Infrastructure Boost: ₹984 Crore Sanctioned for HappyNest

The CRDA has sanctioned ₹1,585 crore for widening Kondaveeti Vagu and Palavagu with the construction of reservoirs at Sakhamuru and Neerukonda. Meanwhile, ₹984 crore has been kept aside for the HappyNest project, which has 1,200 apartments built in 12 towers.

Other infrastructural improvements include the construction of floodwater canals, drainage networks, a water supply system, sewerage, utility ducts, pedestrian ways, and cycle tracks. These are intended to improve urban planning and sustainability in the capital region.
