Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday reviewed low-pressure circumstances that caused severe rains at North Andhra. They conducted a proper update of district head officials from Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
The Collectors and District Authorities are making the corresponding measures. Measures taken up and alerts issued :
- People in the areas of heavy rainfall have been warned, and adequate warnings have been issued.
- Schools in the affected areas have been closed in advance.
- The Chief Minister has also stressed the need to closely monitor the effect of the rainfall and be at a high state of readiness at all administrative levels.
Support to farmers and assessment of crop damage
- The CM mentioned the fact that crops have been devastated for years in some regions due to the rains. He asked the officials to take an exhaustive report of the damages when the weather becomes stable.
- Quick relief and aid measures must be supplied to the affected farmers.
- Continuous updates of the rain and its effects must reach the food producers so that they may prepare accordingly.
Orders for Full Preparedness
The Chief Minister instructed all officials to be vigilant and work hard in order to reduce the effect of heavy rains. He stated that a response system should be very effective in ensuring public safety and welfare.
