It marked the record break placements for the new session at IIT Delhi. It further cemented its top rank position in the list of the world's highest ranked institutions as reported by the QS World University Rankings. More than 1200 students from the campus have managed to get pre-placement offers till date from the best national and international organisations at the start of the current academic year 2024-25.
Google, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Microsoft, Intel India, Oracle, Qualcomm and Meesho have offered jobs. Organization like Blue Stone Jewellery and Lifestyle, Micron Technology, Ola, PU, Shiprocket and Trident Group look up to this talent pool of IIT Delhi.
More than 50 international offers were received by over 15 of the world's leading companies this year. Some students received opportunities from the global markets, including Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the USA.
Professor Naresh Verma, head of IIT Delhi’s Office of Career Services (OCS), expressed his satisfaction with the positive start to the placement season. He emphasized the university’s efforts to expand the variety of job profiles and companies engaging with students. Professor Suresh Neelakanthan also thanked recruiters for acknowledging the exceptional abilities of IIT Delhi students, while congratulating students for their hard work and outstanding performance.
The IIT Delhi placement season would now go up to the last day of the current semester and would be focused primarily at sending out undergraduate and postgraduate students to industries. As of now, there are no details about the annual packages announced, but the early outcomes indicate a good trend going forward in the placement season.
