The internal conflict within the family of actor Mohan Babu has sparked widespread attention. Actor Manchu Manoj lodged a formal complaint in Pahadisharif police station claiming that an unidentified group of persons attacked himself along with his wife Mounika citing danger to their safety also. Parallel to this incident, Mohan Babu had filed a written complaint on a note with Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu. Reports of a feud between the father and son began doing the rounds widely on Sunday morning. However, Mohan Babu's family dismissed these claims as baseless. Later, Manoj's hospitalization and subsequent complaint on Monday highlighted ongoing differences within the family.
"I have been residing in Manchu Town, Jalpally, a Hyderabad suburb, for over a decade. My younger son Manoj, who had moved out, returned four months ago. On Sunday, March 8th, he caused disturbances in my home, accompanied by anti-social elements. At 9 PM, after I had retired for the night, he returned. The next morning, I observed unfamiliar individuals near my residence.
Later, when I reached my office in Madhapur by 10:30 AM, I was informed that about 30 persons, reportedly connected with Manoj and Mounika, had entered into my house. They forced my employees to leave, and I am in fear that they are going to continue threatening my life and those of the people of my household. My goods and property are threatened too. I think Manoj and Mounika have planned this to take control of my house permanently. I request the authorities to take strict action against them and their accomplices while keeping me safe, Mohan Babu said.
Manchu Manoj filed a complaint with Pahadisharif police on Monday evening, recounting a horrific incident of an alleged attack on his family.
"On Sunday morning at 9 AM, 10 unknown men armed with sticks entered my house in Jalpalli. They attacked my family under the pretext that I had gone for shooting. My wife and son were surrounded. On coming downstairs, I reprimanded them. At this, they shrilled from a distance in Hindi, 'He is in the house' and ran.".
I was injured during the fight, and I decided to seek treatment at the local hospital. I went home to find that the CCTV tape had been erased. My workers told me that Vijay Reddy and Kiran took out the footage. It shows that they knew about the attack beforehand. They would not have erased the CCTV evidence otherwise.
I request that action be taken against all who entered my house illegally and harassed my family. I demand that proper protection be taken to ensure our safety," said Manoj in his complaint.
A case has been registered under the allegations of Manoj, Pahadisharif Inspector Guruva Reddy said that Mohan Babu's complaint would also be scrutinised in detail.
